The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje has initiated an investigative procedure concerning an individual suspected of the criminal act of murder. The incident involved the death of a father at the hands of his son in Skopje I. According to reports, the 30-year-old suspect allegedly killed his father on February 12.
The altercation reportedly began following an argument and physical assault that took place at the suspect’s residence between the father and the suspect’s mother. Subsequently, the son allegedly armed himself with a knife and attacked his father in the yard, inflicting over thirty stab wounds to the neck and chest area. The father succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
During the ongoing investigation, the public prosecutor intends to take several actions to ascertain the precise motives behind the incident. Furthermore, a psychiatric examination of the suspect will be conducted as part of the proceedings. To ensure the safety of the community throughout the criminal procedure, the public prosecutor has proposed specific measures regarding the detention of the suspect.
