A friendly rugby match was recently held at the FC KEK field in Plemeti, Obiliq, as an initiative under the PIAKOS project. The activity brought together four teams representing the areas of Plemetini, Obiliq, and Klina. Notably, the participants included girls from diverse backgrounds, specifically those belonging to Albanian, Serbian, and Roma communities.
The organized game served as more than just a sporting event; it functioned as a platform for cross-cultural exchange. Through the sport, the participants were given an opportunity to build new friendships, share experiences, and observe how athletics can act as a unifying bridge among different communities. The match maintained a positive and inclusive atmosphere, characterized by the girls displaying commitment, discipline, and mutual respect throughout the proceedings.
Beyond the physical competition, the project incorporated educational objectives aimed at empowering the participants. A significant focus was placed on raising awareness regarding fundamental rights, with specific attention paid to the rights concerning property and inheritance.
