Over 80 cases of vomiting and diarrhea at the Elysium Hall, Director of Health: Not all are food poisoning

Over 80 individuals have sought medical attention at the Elezi Square facility concerning gastrointestinal issues, prompting an investigation into potential food poisoning links. Kimete Kuka, the Director of Health in Elezi Square, informed Telegrafi that the reported ailments cannot all be classified as poisoning. Specifically, Kuka noted, “Not all cases are poisonings.

We have about 90 cases with A09, which have been reported from the 13th after 4:00 PM until today, including 6 new cases.”

Initially, reports indicated that numerous citizens were seeking medical help at the Main Center for Family Medicine (QKMF) in Elezi Square, with approximately 80 people suspected of food poisoning originating from a pizzeria within the area. However, the Director of Health clarified the nature of the reported health incidents. While the initial concern focused on foodborne illness, the official count points to a higher number of cases diagnosed with A09.

This data suggests that while food poisoning is a possibility under investigation, the primary cluster of reported health issues falls under a different diagnostic category. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation to determine the precise cause of these gastrointestinal complaints and to ensure appropriate public health measures are implemented for all affected cases.
