The Foundation for Gjakova has announced that the “Days of the Albanian” Festival, for its third edition, will take place in the city of Gjakova from April 17 to August 9, 2026. This event marks the return, after a three-year hiatus, of one of Kosovo’s largest cultural and artistic gatherings. The festival is slated to take place across numerous prominent and expansive locations within the city, including “Ali Podrimja” Park, the Old Bazaar, Drini Canyon, and Gjeravica Peak.

Attendees can anticipate over 40 cultural, musical, sporting, and recreational activities throughout the duration. Over four consecutive weekends, Gjakova is set to transform into an open-air venue showcasing talent from Albania, Kosovo, and all Albanian regions. The program is comprehensively structured around four core pillars: Music, Culture, Outdoor Activities, and Tradition.

The event aims to provide a broad platform for artists, singers, musicians, panelists, painters, athletes, and creators from across the Albanian diaspora. The return of the “Days of the Albanian” Festival is anticipated to revitalize cultural life in the region, offering a diverse program for visitors and residents alike. The festival’s comprehensive schedule promises a rich blend of artistic expression, historical celebration, and outdoor engagement across the city’s key landmarks.
