Hoxha: Subsidies that are pending will be paid after the Budget rebalancing

Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Albrim Hoxha, announced that the disbursement of several pending subsidy payments is directly linked to the approval of the Budget Rebalancing, a document currently undergoing parliamentary review. Addressing matters of food security and agricultural support from the floor of the parliament, Hoxha provided detailed assurances regarding the sector’s stability and the measures in place for farmers. Hoxha confirmed that established, competent institutions are maintaining consistent and regular monitoring controls designed to guarantee national food security.

He emphasized that all actions undertaken are strictly compliant with existing legislation, with the primary objectives being the protection of public health and the maintenance of high-quality product standards across the board. The Minister further clarified that the passage of the proposed budget rebalancing is essential for securing the necessary financial resources. These allocated funds are critical for covering subsidies across multiple agricultural sectors.

Specifically, the payments will support producers dealing with milk, marked eggs, grain, various cereal crops, and general field crops. The announcement underscores the procedural dependency of these financial supports. Once the Budget Rebalancing receives parliamentary approval, the mechanisms for releasing the accumulated subsidies will be immediately activated, ensuring that necessary financial lifelines reach the agricultural sector promptly.
