Hanit e Elezit Municipality responds to poisoning cases: 110 people treated at QKMF

The Mayor of the Municipality of Han i Elezit, Mehmet Ballazhi, addressed the public regarding the recent presentation of symptoms associated with gastroenteritis within the municipality. He confirmed that local health institutions are actively managing the situation and that monitoring efforts remain intensive. According to Mr.

Ballazhi, between April 13 and April 15, a total of 110 individuals presenting with gastroenteritis symptoms were treated at the Central Family Medicine Center. Of these, five specific cases required referral for advanced care to both the Ferizaj Regional Hospital and the QKUK. Overall, approximately 300 intravenous therapies were administered to the affected patients.

He assured that the Central Family Medicine Center currently maintains sufficient stocks of necessary therapies and materials to manage ongoing treatment needs. Furthermore, the AUV initiated emergency controls following reports of suspected poisoning incidents in both Pristina and the surrounding area of elezit. These coordinated efforts began immediately, involving collaboration with the Central Family Medicine Center.

The local administration continues to manage the flow of cases while ensuring that necessary medical protocols are followed across the municipality. The continuous monitoring and coordination among health facilities aim to manage the current health concerns effectively.
