The Municipality of Pristina has issued notices regarding upcoming infrastructure improvements that will necessitate temporary traffic disruptions across several major thoroughfares. Specifically, construction for the “Bajram Bahtiri Street Construction – Phase II” project will result in the temporary closure of the entire Bajram Bahtiri street. This closure is scheduled to take place from April 20 through August 11.
Municipal authorities have requested that citizens and traffic participants exercise patience and utilize designated alternative routes during this specified period. In addition to the closure on Bajram Bahtiri street, the Directorate of Capital Investments and Contract Management will conduct necessary infrastructure works on a section of “Afrim Zhitia” street. The affected segment runs from the traffic lights situated at the Faculty of Technology to the traffic lights at the Student Mensa, specifically along the right side heading toward the dormitories.
Circulation on this portion of the street is scheduled to be closed beginning April 15, 2026, at 8:00 PM. The public is advised to plan travel itineraries in advance to account for these planned closures and construction activities. Authorities urge the community to adhere to all posted detours and safety guidelines to ensure the efficiency and safety of the ongoing municipal development projects.
