Peci presents the kiosk in the Mitrovica Square by the farmers of Piriq

The Mayor of the Municipality of Mitrovica, Faton Peci, has announced the establishment of a temporary exhibition of kiosks in Mitrovica Square. These kiosks are designated to showcase local agricultural products sourced from the farmers of Mitrovica. In a video statement posted on the Facebook network, Peci emphasized the cultural and economic importance of regional produce, specifically noting that Pirqi pepper stands out as one of the most recognizable products integral to the agricultural identity of the area.

The exhibition is scheduled to operate for a limited period, running from April 15th through September 15th. Mayor Peci addressed the broader goal of formalizing the local commerce sector. He stated that a key objective of his administration through the end of his mandate is to regulate the modern market environment where local vendors can display their goods.

He affirmed the municipality’s commitment to supporting legitimate food sales while simultaneously working to prevent unauthorized street vending. Addressing the vendors directly, Peci stipulated that all individuals wishing to exhibit their local food items must utilize the designated kiosk structures rather than setting up stalls in the public square. This initiative aims to create a structured and regulated marketplace within Mitrovica, thereby supporting local economies while maintaining public order in Mitrovica Square.
