The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo was present today at the Bajakovo border crossing, distributing water and food packages to travelers awaiting passage. The assistance was provided due to the increased volume of traffic experienced during the summer season. According to the embassy, while vehicle queues are substantial, the current estimated waiting time for crossing the border remains between 10 and 15 minutes.
The facility operates with eight entry lanes, and Croatian authorities are reportedly working to maintain the most efficient circulation possible. The embassy attributed the length of the queues primarily to the implementation of the Entry/Exit System (EES). This new system has introduced updated border control procedures, which have temporarily affected the normal flow of traffic.
The embassy also extended its gratitude to Hakif Qenajn for his support.
