Woman with knife at Shkodër Polyclinic, court orders three arrested individuals to remain in house arrest

The Shkodër Court has mandated the pre-trial measure of house arrest for A.F, A.M., and A.K. following an incident that took place on February 16 at the Shkodër Polyclinic. The judicial decision followed the detention of the three individuals in connection with an altercation that resulted in injuries to a patient.

The father and son, A.F and A.M., were initially taken into custody after being arrested as suspects regarding the assault on 31-year-old V.K. Furthermore, A.K, identified as the injured party’s brother, was also arrested after authorities discovered him in possession of a firearm, specifically a pistol. The initial confrontation involving a knife at the polyclinic led to the detention of the father and son for the alleged injury.

During the court session, the defense representatives for the father and son asserted that the dispute originated from a brief, momentary clash. They formally requested that the court consider a less restrictive security measure, arguing that continued detention in a prison setting was unnecessary given the circumstances. After carefully reviewing the evidence presented by the Prosecution and considering the arguments put forth by the defense, the court ruled on the appropriate pre-trial measure.

The ruling assigned house arrest to all three individuals—A.F, A.M., and A.K.—concluding the immediate judicial proceedings related to the February 16 incident at the local polyclinic.
