The Ferizaj Regional Police have escalated their field operations to enhance road safety and mitigate the occurrence of traffic accidents. According to a recent police announcement, the intensive activities conducted between April 13 and April 19 resulted in significant enforcement actions. During this specified period, the police issued a total of 1,517 fines to drivers found in violation of traffic regulations.
Furthermore, 23 driver licenses were suspended for operators who were found guilty of serious traffic violations. In terms of safety statistics, the police recorded a total of 48 accidents. Of these incidents, 14 resulted in injuries, affecting 22 individuals, while 34 accidents were recorded involving only material damage.
The Ferizaj Regional Police stated that these increased enforcement activities will continue. The sustained focus of the police aims to improve overall compliance with traffic laws, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of future accidents on the roads.
