As a proactive measure aimed at mitigating fatalities resulting from weapons use, the police have continued the confiscation of unlicensed firearms. Reviewing previous efforts, the police reported that during 2025, they confiscated a total of 1,931 weapons along with 39,116 rounds of ammunition. These actions underscore ongoing efforts to manage illicit weaponry and bolster public safety across Kosovo.
