Implementation agreement signed for the “Economic Empowerment of Women” project

The Ministry of Labour, Family and War of Liberation Values (MPFVLÇ) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) have formalized a partnership through the signing of an Implementation Agreement for the “Economic Empowerment of Women (EEW)” project. This collaborative effort is designed to enhance the structural, individual, and social circumstances for women throughout Kosovo. The primary objective of the EEW initiative is to significantly increase the labor market access and employment opportunities available to women.

Special attention within the project framework will be given to supporting women residing in rural areas and those belonging to underrepresented demographic categories. The scope of the agreement covers comprehensive support mechanisms aimed at bolstering economic inclusion. Key activities outlined for the implementation phase include the development and improvement of existing employment services, alongside strengthening institutional capacities across relevant sectors.

Furthermore, the project will facilitate career guidance initiatives and professional skills development programs. A central component involves the promotion of active labor market policies, all designed with the specific aim of creating more robust pathways for women’s integration into the economic life of the country. By executing this agreement, the partners intend to address systemic barriers and build sustainable support structures.

The focus remains on ensuring that economic empowerment translates into tangible, accessible opportunities for all women within Kosovo’s labor market.
