The 225th Regiment of Ukraine reported the capture of 64 Russian soldiers during an operation conducted to remove infiltrating Russian groups from several settlements within the Zaporizhzhia region. According to the regiment’s statement, the objective of the Russian troops was to infiltrate behind established Ukrainian positions without engaging in direct combat. Reports indicate that the supposed mission of the Russian personnel included locating Ukrainian drone teams, gathering intelligence, and placing Russian flags in villages.
This action, according to the 225th Regiment, was intended for propaganda purposes, aiming to falsely portray the settlements as having been captured by Russian forces. Ukrainian troops successfully discovered and removed these infiltrating groups from the areas of Ternuvate, Kosivtseve, Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Vozdvyzhivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The operation, executed by the Ukrainian regiment, resulted in the capture of the aforementioned number of Russian soldiers.
The regiment confirmed that the action successfully cleared these areas of the unauthorized Russian presence.
