IKSHPK: 11 new cases of measles have been reported in the last week

The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKShPK) has issued a report detailing the surveillance of measles activity within the country. According to the institute, during the period spanning from April 16 to June 20, 2026, a cumulative total of 69 confirmed measles cases were reported across Kosovo. The data indicates recent activity, with an additional 11 new cases being reported during the most recent week of the monitoring period.

The IKShPK provided a detailed breakdown of the geographical distribution of these cases across various municipalities. Pristina recorded the highest number of cases with 21 instances. Following this, Ferizaj and Fushë-Kosovo each reported 12 cases.

Kaçanik accounted for 7 cases, while Lipjan reported 3 cases. Additionally, Vushtrri, Shtime, Drenas, and Obiliq each had 2 cases recorded. The remaining cases were distributed among Podujeva, Gjilan, Deçan, Skënderaj, Shtërpce, and Viti, each having one case reported.
