A 35-year-old police officer from Prizren who was found without signs of life in Morina is suspected of having committed suicide.

On July 22, 2026, authorities in Kosovo were notified by the Albanian Republic Police regarding the discovery of a deceased male in the graves of the village of Morinë. The incident came to the attention of the Kosovo Police around 08:25. Shaqir Bytyqi, a spokesperson for the Kosovo Police for the Prizren region, reported that officers were dispatched to the scene immediately upon receiving the alert.

Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a police officer serving in the Rapid Response Unit stationed in Prizren.
