Mickoski: Damages from the storm will be assessed and compensated

Prime Minister Christian Mickoski announced that following the severe storm that impacted Skopje on Saturday, various institutions and local municipalities have mobilized to assess the extent of the damage. Mickoski expressed gratitude to the responding teams for their immediate efforts and assured the public that the damages will undergo a thorough evaluation. He stated that compensation will be provided in alignment with established law and prior governmental practice by the competent institutions.

“Indeed, this Government has never left citizens to face things alone,” Mickoski remarked. He praised the institutions and the mayors of the municipalities, noting that they responded to the epic storm that hit Skopje late Saturday evening and immediately afterward. These teams, along with other relevant institutions, began assessing the damage in the field.

Mickoski added that this assessment work would continue into the following day due to the severity of the storm. He commended the preparation and motivation displayed by the personnel involved. The Prime Minister emphasized the coordinated effort in the aftermath of the weather event.
