The union leadership stated that the workers plan to protest and suspend their duties if salaries for the month of April are not paid. According to a notice disseminated by Jusuf Azemi via the Facebook platform, the decision was formalized during a meeting held on Tuesday, February 22.
The union’s action is a direct response to the delayed payment of wages owed to the technical workers. The notice explicitly states that the technical personnel at the primary schools will cease reporting to their workplaces beginning Tuesday, April 28, 2026, until the salary payment for April 2026 is successfully processed. The Federation has indicated that if the payment situation does not improve, the workers are prepared to organize further action on the subsequent day.
This development highlights ongoing labor concerns within the education sector concerning timely remuneration. The union maintains that the work stoppage is a measure intended to secure the financial entitlements of its members.
