IKD is holding the signature collection today for the amendment of the Penal Code

The Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD) commenced today the process of gathering citizen signatures to support a legislative initiative aimed at amending and supplementing the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. The official collection effort is taking place at the “Nënë Tereza” hall in Pristina, starting at 10:00 AM. The IKD’s published schedule indicates that the day’s activities will begin with a presentation of the citizen legislative initiative, which will be delivered by the institute’s senior researcher, Naim Jakaj.

Following the presentation, a question-and-answer session is scheduled with members of the press. From 10:25 AM until 3:00 PM, the primary activity will be the collection of citizen signatures supporting the proposed changes to the code. The IKD has issued invitations to the public and media to participate in this event, marking the formal launch of the campaign.
