The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica has announced a ban prohibiting an individual from operating a vehicle while impaired or intoxicated. The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the incident occurred this morning in the village of Studime, located on the Mitrovica–Prishtina highway. A suspect was driving while intoxicated, leading to a significant traffic accident.
The intoxicated driving caused the vehicle to cross into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. This accident tragically resulted in the death of one woman. Furthermore, the driver and three passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to the QKUK for immediate medical treatment.
The fatal accident took place in Studime e Vushtrrisë, with additional details provided by local police authorities. The prosecutor responsible for Serious Crimes at the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovica arrived at the scene of the incident. Following the necessary procedures, the prosecutor’s office ordered that the victim’s body be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Prishtina for an autopsy.
