Gazment Bardhi, the leader of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, was excluded from the plenary session on April 23rd following an incident involving water directed at Prime Minister Edi Rama, according to A2 CNN. During the day’s proceedings, opposition deputies obstructed the floor while votes were cast on draft legislation. At one point, these deputies reportedly began throwing water in the direction of Rama, resulting in him being wet.
In response to this action, the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, excluded Bardhi from the session. Despite this exclusion, Bardhi remained present in the hall while the laws were voted upon sequentially. The opposition group reportedly hindered the voting process through disruptive noise, after which the session continued, leading to the passage of the draft laws.
Later, after approximately half an hour, Peleshi interrupted the session once more, an action he had taken multiple times throughout the day. Tensions escalated among the socialists upon the arrival of Rama at the Parliament.
