The report, which aims to keep citizens of Skopje informed, is based on comprehensive analyses conducted by the Sanitary Control Sector. During the reporting period, spanning from July 20, 2026, through July 24, 2026, the Sanitary Control Sector gathered a substantial dataset for testing.
Specifically, the sector collected 195 samples for detailed physico-chemical analysis and an additional 195 samples for microbiological evaluation. These samples were drawn from 45 designated measuring points across the City of Skopje. According to the findings published by NP Waterworks and Sewage, the results confirm that the current supply of drinking water meets all established safety and quality benchmarks.
The utility stated that every analyzed sample fully complies with the regulations stipulated in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia (No. 183/18). This regular monitoring process is crucial for maintaining public health and ensuring the integrity of the entire water infrastructure, which includes both potable water distribution and associated sewage management systems.
