The Directorate for Hydrometeorological Work (DPHM) has issued a warning regarding unstable weather conditions anticipated for both tonight and tomorrow. The forecast predicts a combination of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and the possibility of localized hailstorms across various regions. Specific details regarding the precipitation indicate that the western parts of the country are expected to experience heavier rainfall tonight, with accumulations potentially exceeding 20 liters per square meter.
Tomorrow afternoon, this rainfall is forecast to be even more intense, with localized measurements possibly reaching over 30 liters per square meter. Many areas should prepare for torrential rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and short-lived storms that may bring strong winds and lightning, along with conditions conducive to isolated hail. Regarding wind patterns, strong to powerful winds are expected in the Pollog region, as well as in the eastern and northeastern parts of the country.
Locally, these winds may reach speeds of up to 60 km/h. In the capital city of Skopje, rainfall is expected both tonight and during the afternoon tomorrow. Overall, the public is advised to monitor the evolving weather patterns due to the severity of the predicted rainfall and associated atmospheric hazards.
