Kosovo Customs stops undeclared products at the Elysium Han that pose a risk to health

Kosovo customs authorities have intercepted a shipment of products suspected of posing potential health risks to the public. The incident occurred at the Han of Elezi Border Crossing, where routine inspections led to the discovery of undeclared goods. According to reports, customs officials detained a vehicle bearing local plates.

The driver, identified as a Turkish citizen, initially informed the officials that there were no items to declare. However, a subsequent and detailed inspection revealed multiple undeclared items within the vehicle. The seizure included ten units of the skincare product Elasty G PLUS and twenty units of Masport 500.

The presence of these items, which were not declared to the customs agents, prompted authorities to take immediate action. The customs department confirmed that the goods have been officially seized. Authorities stated that the interception highlights ongoing efforts by customs services in Kosovo to monitor border crossings and prevent the entry of potentially unregulated or unsafe products.

Action has been initiated concerning the individual responsible for the undeclared shipment. These measures underscore the commitment of customs to maintaining public health standards and ensuring compliance with import regulations within Kosovo.
