Of the fifty-one DNA samples analyzed, seven were recovered from the Ibar-Lepenc river channel. Evidence items collected from the explosion site included one liter of material, a textile piece originating from a partially burned and wet bag handle, a hat, a detonator cable fuse measuring approximately nine meters, a piece of the bag’s patent, a shorter detonator fuse, and another piece of a black, burned bag. These various items were presented at the Basic Court in Pristina by Fatmir Ademi, a biologist from the Kosovo Agency for Forensics.
During the proceedings, Ademi was questioned by the defense counsel representing the accused, Dragisha Viqentijeviq. Lawyer Millosh Deloviq specifically inquired whether any of the presented evidence matched the defendant, Dragisha. The questioning centered on the physical evidence recovered from the scene, particularly the various components associated with the incident.
The presentation detailed the collection of multiple pieces of evidence, including fragments from the damaged bag and the forensic analysis of the DNA samples sourced from the lepenc river. The defense sought clarification regarding the evidentiary link between the recovered items and the individual accused.
