Two young individuals, estimated to be around 20 years old, were safely located after becoming disoriented and becoming stranded in a mountainous region situated between Shtërpca, Ferizaj, and Suhareka. The incident was initially reported to authorities on August 1, 2026, at approximately 8:40 PM. The report indicated that the two individuals had become lost within the mountainous terrain and were unable to exit the area.
Upon receiving the information, police units from the stations in Ferizaj, Shtërpca, and Suhareka initiated search operations to locate the missing persons. The Kosovo Search and Rescue Association also contributed to the effort, deploying its specialized teams to the area. Following several hours of intensive searching, the rescue teams successfully located and extracted the two young people around 1:00 AM on August 2, 2026.
Both individuals were reported to be in good health upon their recovery.
