Seven individuals were reported as injured following a series of traffic incidents that took place on the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway, in the direction of the border with Greece. According to the Kosovo Police, the primary collision involved three vehicles. Emergency medical teams responded to the scene to provide immediate treatment to those affected.
Bajram Krasniqi, a spokesperson for the Kosovo Police, confirmed that in addition to the major three-vehicle accident, two other separate incidents were recorded within the same stretch of the highway. These secondary accidents occurred at an approximate distance of 500 meters from one another. Responding police units and emergency services were deployed to the location to manage the scene.
Personnel provided initial first aid and facilitated the transportation of the injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities for further assessment and care. The police have initiated comprehensive investigations to ascertain the precise causes and contributing circumstances surrounding these multiple accidents. Authorities have requested public cooperation and attention as they continue their efforts to determine the sequence of events that led to the injuries and disruptions on the highway.
