For the needs of Gostivar, efforts to supply essential utilities have involved the deployment of three cisterns containing both drinking and technical water, according to Stojançe Angellov, Director of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue. Angellov specified the sources of the aid, noting that the cisterns originated from NJZT Gostivar, Bektel and Enka, and Bogovina. He reported that this water supply has already been distributed to citizens twice, with plans to send an additional two units by the evening.
The distribution process is being managed in close coordination with the Communal Headquarters for Protection and Rescue of the Gostivar Municipality. Regarding the overall situation in Gostivar, Angellov confirmed that there are no changes in the current operational status. However, he issued a critical advisory concerning potability.
He stated that the water remains unsuitable for consumption because samples collected from the Institute for Public Health continue to test positive for the presence of bacteria. Consequently, the supplied water is currently authorized strictly for technical applications. While the immediate focus remains on technical use, officials anticipate that the situation regarding potability is expected to improve in the near future.
