The Municipality of Shtime has inaugurated the third edition of the “Shtimja 2026” Book Fair as part of its annual “Union Days” commemorations. The event is taking place at the “Ahmet Shtimja” Pavilion, offering visitors a comprehensive display of new publications alongside a diverse collection of books sourced from multiple publishing houses. The opening of the fair was marked by the presence of Shtime’s Deputy Mayor, Adnan Ademi.

During his visit, Ademi acknowledged the critical role this literary event plays in advancing literacy, knowledge acquisition, and cultural awareness within the community. He stressed the enduring value of the book, characterizing it as a vital conduit linking knowledge, culture, and successive generations. Ademi also commented on the significance of repurposing public spaces to serve as platforms for cultural promotion, noting this trend as highly valuable for civic life.

During his inspection, the Deputy Mayor reviewed the exhibited literary materials and engaged in discussions with representatives from the various publishing entities present. The “Shtimja 2026” book fair thus serves not only as a marketplace but also as a central cultural gathering point for the shtimja community. By hosting this annual fair, the municipality continues its commitment to fostering an environment where intellectual exchange and cultural appreciation can flourish among residents and visitors alike.

The event provides a platform for both authors and publishers to connect with the public.
