The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKShPK) has reported that a total of 99 confirmed instances of fruit have been identified across the country between April 16 and August 3, 2026. Official data indicates that 21 new cases were registered during the most recent week of reporting. Geographically, the municipality of Prishtina recorded the highest number of confirmed cases, accounting for 33 infections.
Following Prishtina, Fushë-Kosova reported 25 cases, while Ferizaj registered 12 cases, and Kaçanik accounted for 7 cases. The report details smaller clusters of infections across other regions. Three separate locations—Drenas, Lipjan, and Obiliq—each reported three cases.
Furthermore, Gjilan, Skenderaj, Shtime, and Vushtrri each recorded two cases. Single cases were reported in Deçan, Graçanicë, Podujevë, Shtërpcë, and Viti. IKShPK noted that the current count represents a notable increase in fruit cases when compared to previous reporting periods.
