Police in Skopje apprehended an individual following the confiscation of narcotics during an operation on May 4, 2026. According to the Ministry of Interior, law enforcement officers from the Illegal Trafficking Unit conducted an inspection near the Skopje Police Department. This action followed prior operational intelligence gathered by the unit.
The operation targeted several individuals on “Aradhet Partizane” boulevard in Skopje, specifically involving J.B., S.V., and D.P. During the inspection, police personnel successfully found and confiscated evidence from D.P. The seized items included two jars containing a total of 25 packages of marijuana, alongside a digital scale that had residue consistent with marijuana.
Following the discovery of the contraband, the individual was taken into custody by the police. He was subsequently transported to the “Gjorçe Petrov” Police Station, where he was detained pending further procedures ordered by the public prosecutor. The seizure of the drugs marks a recent enforcement action by the authorities in the region.
