The Kosovo Assembly has released the official agenda for its upcoming constitutional session, scheduled to commence tomorrow at 10:00 AM. According to a statement issued by the Directorate for Media and Public Relations, the proceedings will begin with the formation of a Temporary Commission tasked with verifying the quorums and mandates of newly elected deputies. Following the mandatory verification process, the elected deputies are scheduled to take their official oaths.
Subsequently, the assembly is expected to proceed with the election of the Assembly President and Vice-Presidents. The established procedure requires a simple majority vote for the election of the Vice-Presidents. While the immediate focus remains on these foundational procedures, questions remain regarding subsequent governmental formation.
It has not yet been confirmed whether another session will be convened following the conclusion of this constitutional session to address the establishment of a new government. Currently, political negotiations are ongoing, with the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) reportedly having not yet reached a consensus regarding the formation of a governing coalition. The assembly’s proceedings are therefore expected to focus primarily on its internal constitutional procedures before addressing broader governmental mandates.
