The Ministry of Environment has terminated the employment contracts of 9 officials, Pacolli: They have been consistently absent from work

The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning has terminated the employment contracts of several officials, according to Fitore Pacolli, the acting Minister. Mr. Pacolli announced that the terminations affected seven officials from the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency (AMMK) and two officials from the Kosovo Cadastral Agency (AKK).

These affected individuals are members of the Serb community and were associated with the former ‘Civil Protection’ unit. The ministry cited continuous absenteeism as the primary reason for the decisions. Pacolli indicated that these actions were taken following recommendations issued by the National Audit Office.

He further stated that these terminations bring the total number of terminated employment contracts across the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and its subordinate institutions to twenty-nine. The measure signals a departmental action concerning staffing within the sector responsible for the environment. The removal of these specific officials from their roles within key agencies highlights internal administrative adjustments within the government body overseeing environmental matters.

These decisions directly impact the employment status of the affected personnel.
