QMK: As of 6:00 PM, 14 fires have been reported

The Crisis Management Center (QMK) reported a comprehensive update regarding the status of multiple fires across the region as of 18:00 today. Authorities confirmed that a total of 14 fires have been registered within the operational area. Of this total count, the situation has seen significant progress, with 11 fires reported as completely extinguished, two incidents brought under control, and one fire remaining active.

The active blaze is located in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, specifically near the village of Greshnicë within the Stojanova Naselba area. This fire is currently burning low vegetation, degraded forest, and brush. Meanwhile, two other incidents have been brought under control: these include a fire at the landfill in Delčevo and another near the village of German in the Municipality of Rankovce, both affecting low vegetation.

Throughout the day, efforts were sustained across numerous locations, resulting in the complete extinguishment of 11 separate fires. These cleared incidents spanned several municipalities, including Zhelinë, Gostivar, Vinica, and Zërnovc, as well as Manastir, Prilep, Dollnen, Likovë, Kratovë, Negotina, Kavadar, and Karposh. The QMK’s report details the ongoing management of these various fires, highlighting the coordinated efforts to contain the spread and extinguish blazes across the wider area.

The continuous monitoring of the remaining active and controlled fires remains a priority for emergency services in the region.
