The LSDM further alleges that, due to the severity of the situation, patients from Gostivar are being redirected to Tetovë for necessary treatment, criticizing the government’s management of the ongoing public health crisis.
A central concern highlighted by the LSDM is the uncertainty surrounding the water supply. They noted that no official documentation has been released confirming the water’s technical safety, despite confirmation of bacterial presence within the system. Furthermore, the LSDM criticized statements made by Minister Pançe Toshkovski, specifically his appeals to citizens to drain their tap water and the announcement of new water analyses.
From the LSDM’s perspective, the current operational status of the hospital and the handling of the contaminated water issue demonstrate significant shortcomings in regional crisis management.
