Minister Sasho Klekovski confirmed that detailed information regarding the outbreak linked to the local water supply will be released on this date. Speaking to Kanal 5, Klekovski provided an update on the current health status, noting that the region is transitioning out of the acute phase of the outbreak.
He stated that the number of registered patients in recent days has fluctuated between 40 and 80, a rate considered within the normal parameters for August. However, the Minister emphasized that the official declaration of the end of the epidemic is contingent upon the definitive ruling out of any connection between subsequent case reports and the local drinking water sources. To this end, an expert team is actively engaged in conducting a thorough and detailed analysis.
Furthermore, the Ministry confirmed coordination efforts with the Food and Veterinary Agency to ensure comprehensive oversight.
