The Inspection Directorate of the Municipality of Vushtrri has issued a €500 fine to an individual for the act of dumping waste in a public area. According to the municipal notice, the incident was brought to the directorate’s attention through received information, followed by an on-site verification process. In coordination with the Kosovo Police, specifically the Vushtrri Police Station, authorities successfully identified the owner of the vehicle suspected of depositing the waste.
Legal measures have subsequently been enforced against the individual in accordance with existing legislation. The Municipality of Vushtrri has issued a general appeal to its citizens, urging them to refrain from disposing of waste in public areas. The municipality reiterated that legal action will be taken against any future violators.
“The Municipality of Vushtrri appeals to all citizens not to dump waste in public areas, while legal measures will be taken against every violator,” the statement read. This action underscores the municipality’s commitment to maintaining cleanliness and environmental standards within the Vushtrri area. The imposition of the fine serves as a deterrent, reinforcing the expectation that waste disposal must occur through designated channels rather than contaminating public spaces.
