Extraordinary inspection supervision concluded for the treatment of a 19-year-old female from Strumica

The Ministry of Health has announced that the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate conducted extraordinary inspections at the medical facilities involved in the care of patient S.M. These inspections covered the institutions where the patient received examination, gave birth, and subsequent treatment. The facilities inspected included the General Hospital of Strumica, the Clinical Hospital of Shtip, and the University Clinic of Neurology.

During the review process, inspectors thoroughly examined the patient’s health records and all associated medical documentation. Furthermore, statements were formally taken from the healthcare personnel who were involved in the patient’s care. Given the severity of the patient’s health complications, authorities determined that a comprehensive professional supervision was warranted to review the entire continuum of care, encompassing both the birth process and the subsequent medical treatment.

This professional supervision will be conducted by a commission comprising specialist doctors. The Ministry emphasized that these actions are part of a rigorous oversight process designed to ensure the highest standards of health care are maintained across all levels of medical service.
