The Municipality of Mitrovica has announced the continuation of efforts to reclaim occupied public spaces, aiming to return them to use by citizens. According to a recent notice, the Inspection Directorate carried out an action on “Lekë Dukagjini” street, where encroachments on public areas, which the municipality stated have persisted for years, were removed. Mujë Igrishta, the Director of the Inspection Directorate, confirmed that similar measures will be implemented in the coming days.
These ongoing efforts are designed to free up additional public spaces throughout the city. The municipality issued a call to all residents, urging them to report any instances of public space occupation directly to the Inspection Directorate. This cooperation is requested so that the necessary remedial measures can be taken promptly.
The municipality emphasized that these continuous actions are part of a broader effort to restore accessibility and utility to the city’s shared areas.
