Following the conclusion of World Breastfeeding Week, Action for Mothers and Children (AMC) has significantly expanded its educational outreach by establishing a second site for its Mother’s Classes program in Fushë Kosovë. This expansion was complemented by the unveiling of a new public mural dedicated to promoting breastfeeding awareness within the community. Building on specialized training conducted this week, the program will now be hosted at the Main Center for Family Medicine (QKMF) in Fushë Kosovë.
At this new venue, eleven nurses and a trained mother will deliver the Mother’s Classes, thereby increasing accessibility to vital, evidence-based guidance for local families. The curriculum provided through these classes is comprehensive, covering topics ranging from family planning and prenatal care to childbirth, newborn care, postnatal support, and early parenting skills. The program remains available at The Ideas Partnership in Fushë Kosovë.
This expansion demonstrates a continued commitment to maternal health and community support. By adding a second location, AMC is taking tangible action to ensure that more mothers and families have consistent access to expert advice regarding breastfeeding and child development. The initiative underscores a broader focus on empowering the mother through comprehensive health education, solidifying the support network for new parents in the region.
