The constitutional session of Parliament continues tomorrow at 11:00 AM

The administration of the Assembly of Kosovo has announced that the constitutive session of the legislative body will continue tomorrow, August 8, at 11:00 AM, within the plenary hall. The ongoing constitution process faced an incomplete status during the initial session. The primary obstacle cited for the delay remains the nomination of a candidate for the Speaker of the Assembly.

Albin Kurti, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, indicated that advancing the constitutional framework requires a broader political resolution concerning the presidency. According to Kurti, resolving the issue of the presidency must precede the subsequent steps, including the election of the Assembly Speaker and the formation of the Government. These procedural requirements place significant focus on the proceedings scheduled for tomorrow.

Observers anticipate that the continuation of the session will determine whether the various political parties have managed to reach a consensus capable of finalizing the constitutional procedures for the new legislature. The proceedings are expected to address the necessary political agreements required to move the constitutional process forward from its current impasse.
