The KSHZ set the dates for the mayoral elections in Bërvenicë

The State Election Commission (KSHZ) convened a session today to approve the electoral roll for the early mayoral elections in Bërvenicë. During the meeting, the commission also appointed the head, deputy head, and members of the Communal Election Commission. The Speaker of Parliament, Afrim Gashi, formally announced that the mayoral elections are scheduled for April 18th.

During the session, Bojan Mariçiq, the Head of the KSHZ, confirmed that the commission has commenced all necessary operational activities for the development of these early mayoral elections. He stated that the KSHZ remains committed to its legal and constitutional role as the protector and guarantor of the democratic right to vote.

The approval of the electoral roll and the establishment of the election commission mark key procedural steps toward the scheduled vote. These actions underscore the KSHZ’s active management of the transition period following the mayoral vacancy, ensuring the continuity of democratic governance in Bërvenicë.
