Kosovo Police reported the discovery of military clothing and equipment during a routine patrol in North Mitrovica. Officers conducting an inspection in a sewage pipe found a black plastic bag, which prompted further investigation. Upon opening the bag, law enforcement personnel recovered several items, including five green military caps, two military vests equipped with three magazine slots each, a military belt, four magazine pouches, one radio-communication pouch, two military ammunition bags, and a pair of gloves.
Sources indicated that the seized military equipment was exclusively associated with members of the Dukagjini group. Furthermore, authorities noted that the recovered gear was reportedly utilized by members of the “Civil Protection” unit during an attack targeting KFOR troops. The discovery occurred within a pipe system located in the north section of Mitrovica.
The police action underscores ongoing security monitoring in the region.
