Two separate operations conducted by the police in the Skopje area resulted in the seizure of narcotics and the detention of several individuals over the course of August 2026. On August 8, 2026, at approximately 8:30 PM, the police conducted an operation on “Bukureshka” street in the Karposhti district of Skopje. During this action, law enforcement detained three people: D.M.
(23), M.Ç. (23), and one minor aged 16. Authorities reported that a substantial quantity of marijuana and cocaine was confiscated from D.M.
The detained individuals were taken to the police station, where formal documentation was completed, and appropriate criminal charges are pending. A second incident occurred the following day, August 9, 2026, around 1:00 AM, also in the Karposhti area. Officers from the Illegal Trade Unit, operating under the Skopje Police Department, detained M.D.
(42) from Skopje. A subsequent search conducted at the subject’s residence led to the confiscation of several items, including cocaine, marijuana, and digital scales found to have residue consistent with the use of cocaine. In both instances, the police maintained a professional presence to secure evidence.
Following the completion of official documentation regarding these arrests, formal charges will be filed against all individuals involved in the incidents.
