Three people arrested in Peja, suspected of organizing gambling games

Three people were arrested in the village of Rashiq, located in Peja, on suspicion of multiple criminal activities. The charges include organizing pyramid schemes and illegal gambling, as well as the unauthorized possession, control, or keeping of weapons. According to the Kosovo Police, the investigation into the matter began after authorities received and processed information indicating that several individuals were operating illegal fortune-telling activities from a premises in Rashiq.

Acting on this intelligence, the Regional Investigations Sector, which operates under the Regional Police Directorate in Peja, conducted a search and raid on August 8. This operation was carried out with the assistance of the Rapid Response Unit and with proper legal authorization. During the search of the specified location, police confiscated several items deemed material evidence.

These confiscated materials included a box of chips intended for organizing poker games, an AK-47 automatic weapon, and a magazine containing ten rounds of ammunition. The arrests and subsequent seizure of items underscore the police’s efforts to curb illegal operations within the community.
