Former Kosovo Liberation Army commander Nasim Haradinaj called for a mobilization of Kosovo’s citizens scheduled for September 16. This call coincided with the anticipation of a final ruling concerning former UÇK leaders currently on trial in The Hague. Speaking during an appearance on the program “Jehona Politike” on Klan Kosova, Haradinaj advised that the public should not remain passive while awaiting the outcome of the legal proceedings.
He urged citizens to take to the streets to demonstrate their presence. “People, on the 15th and 16th of September, they should not wait for buses. People must start walking, filling and completely filling the streets of Kosovo with people who are waiting,” Haradinaj stated.
Haradinaj further expressed his belief that the forthcoming decision from The Hague might potentially favor the former UÇK leaders. The statement frames the planned gathering as a direct response to the international judicial proceedings impacting figures from the conflict era in Kosovo. The call emphasizes active public participation in the days leading up to the anticipated ruling in September.
