Two individuals were arrested in Kaçanik following suspicions that they introduced firearms during a family gathering in the village of Begracë. The incident took place on Sunday, August 23, around 10:30 PM, after the police were alerted to the presence of weapons at a private family event. In response to the report, units from the Kaçanik Police Station, along with the Investigation Unit and the Rapid Response Unit in Ferizaj, conducted an operation on “Rexhep Luzha” street within Begracë.
During the intervention, the police identified and subsequently arrested two suspects, one aged 62 and the other 33. Police sources reported that a search conducted on the two individuals resulted in the confiscation of several items. Specifically, officers recovered two pistols, 65 cartridges, and 15 grenades.
The suspects were transported to the Kaçanik police station for questioning. The police investigation continues to determine the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the weaponry at the family gathering.
