A person with Albanian and Macedonian heritage is arrested; sought by Interpol for armed robbery

A person holding both Kosovo and Macedonian citizenship was apprehended by the police following an international arrest warrant issued by North Macedonia’s authorities. The arrest, which occurred on August 24 around 9:00 PM, was executed by the Police Directorate for International Cooperation, in collaboration with various police units and the Ferizaj Police Station. The person, identified by the initials N.R., was sought by Interpol for serious theft and had been evading justice.

Upon his arrest, N.R. was taken into police custody for a period of 48 hours, as ordered by the prosecutor’s office. The police confirmed that further procedures would be initiated against the individual.

The international warrant facilitated the capture of the suspect, highlighting cross-border cooperation between law enforcement agencies.
