Season formation in the Premier League: Arsenal and Manchester City dominate

The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has officially released the Premier League squad selection for the upcoming season, highlighting a notable representation from two of the league’s leading clubs. The assembled best XI features significant contributions from both Arsenal and Manchester City. Arsenal, the reigning English champions, secured five spots in the designated team.

Manchester City also featured heavily, contributing four players to the squad. Notably, only two players from clubs outside of Arsenal and Manchester City were selected for the prestigious eleven. David Raya was named in goal, a selection underscored by his recent performance, which earned him the “Golden Glove” award following a period where he recorded 19 matches without conceding a goal.

The defensive line is comprised of Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Magalhaes, and William Saliba, with Nico O’Reilly from Manchester City rounding out the back four. In the midfield selection, Declan Rice was named to anchor the squad. The PFA’s announcement provides a snapshot of the current form and depth within the league as teams prepare for the new season.

The high concentration of talent from Arsenal and Manchester City suggests a strong showing from these two powerhouses as the Premier League campaign commences.
