PDK today filed a criminal complaint against PSRK regarding the misuse of official position, Gruda: He is not the first of his kind

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is set to file a criminal complaint today with the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo. The complaint targets MP Avni Dehari, specifically in his role as the temporary chairman of the Parliament’s constitutional session. During a press conference, PDK MP Përparim Gruda detailed that the basis for the criminal complaint centers on suspicions of “abuse of official position or authority.” This accusation is grounded in Article 414 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Gruda stated that the filing underscores the necessity of accountability for public officials. He emphasized that a situation must never arise where an individual holding official authority operates outside legal boundaries or uses their powers contrary to established law. The action taken by the PDK signals a formal challenge to the conduct of the official in question.

The submission of this complaint represents a significant procedural step by the political party, utilizing the mechanisms of the state prosecutor’s office to investigate potential misconduct. The allegations pertain directly to the exercise of authority by Mr. Dehari during his tenure overseeing the constitutional session.

The filing adheres to the legal framework outlined in the Criminal Code, making the matter an official criminal inquiry.
